Hoverstone LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Ballroom Companion: DWTS application and website (https://ballroomcompanion.com). Your privacy is important to us. This policy details how our application handles information.
Ballroom Companion does not require an account, profile, email address, password, or login. We do not collect, harvest, store, or sell personal identifying information, browsing histories, location data, or contact lists.
The application provides convenience links to prepare SMS text votes for television broadcast voting windows. When you initiate an SMS vote, the application opens your device's native messaging client with the pre-filled voting keyword directed to official broadcast shortcodes (e.g., 21523). We never see, transmit, or store your mobile phone number or your vote selections on our servers.
If you explicitly grant permission on your device, the app receives push notifications exclusively to alert you of live broadcast start times, song lineups, and live voting window open/close times. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
The application fetches publicly available scoring data, music metadata, and prediction market probabilities from third-party APIs (including the Kalshi trade API and Spotify embeds). These connections do not transmit personal data from your device.
The application may store benign interface preferences (such as selected draft board view lens or cached scores for offline viewing) locally on your device using localStorage or Service Worker caching. This data stays on your device.
